Message from the President

The Ethiopian Motor Sport Association, EMSA, is the sole governing body of motor sport in Ethiopia and is recognized by the world governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FiA).

With basic help from the Federal Democratic government of Ethiopia and major contribution of corporate members, individual members and sponsors of events, EMSA schedules rallies and circuit races around the country. EMSA also tries to engage itself with community activities like raising funds for driving safety education and donating funds raised during rally events to worthy causes.

Even if the association is in its infancy compared to similar associations around the world, it has come a long way in the past 10-15 years. One of its major targets is to have a regional competition in the near future with all FIA rules and regulations in place. EMSA board believes that the terrain of Ethiopia is custom made for a spectacular rally. The support of other Africa motor sports association is paramount in this endeavor.
